Examples of our recent work
From the Black Isle to Inverness: a selection of projects by Matheson Builders.
Allan Church: a church turned designer home
A very challenging but rewarding project. There were the usual problems marrying old with new, but working closely with the client and architect, we achieved the wow factor.
Black Isle: a two part extension
An unusual sunroom: a steel frame hidden within the building allowed us to come out square from the existing house and then turn at an angle to take full advantage of the views.
With the large extension we had to demolish an existing garage and excavate a section of a steep bank to make room.
Garage & carport
A 2014 project: a double garage incorporating a toilet and carport.
The Highlands’ poshest barbecue
The clients showed us a picture of a fairly standard barbecue they had seen on holiday in the Mediterranean and wanted something like it on a grander scale, so Martin came up with this design.
